The society

The idea of forming Danish Society of Neuroimmunology (DSNI) dates back to 2021 where a small group of researchers discussed the opportunities of forming a society that brings together both the field of neuroscience and immunology to further enhance the neuroimmunology field in Denmark.

After a brief period with outreach in 2022, a small organizing committee was quickly formed that consisted of: Prof. Michael Eriksen Benros, Prof. Shohreh Issazadeh-Navikas, Dr. Emilie Tresse-Gommeaux, Dr. Jessica Justinussen, Dr. Sara Mandatory, Joana Marturía Navarro, and Lasse Frank Voss.

Later, the Society managed to receive support from the Lundbeckfonden which allowed the first national Conference to be held in March 2023.
