I am a Ph.D. student in Dr. Zaal Kokaia’s research group at the Faculty of Medicine, Clinical Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. My research focuses on the exploration of stem cells and restorative neurology for stroke recovery. My projects investigate the potential of monocytes, both donor and iPSC-derived, for long-term recovery and how age and sex influence the monocytes’ neuroinflammation and neuroregeneration responses. Additionally, I am developing an iPSC-derived microglia model to study neuronopathic Gaucher disease.
